The D.C. Metro area may be one of the largest in the country, but even with its bustling 95-corridor location, it’s surrounded by farms, sprawling landscape, and agricultural opportunities. And while Wegmans and our local stores have a great variety of local and organic favorites, you just can’t beat getting fresh foods straight from the source. Here’s a quick list of some of the many awesome farmers markets you can find this season in Washington, D.C.
Adams Morgan Farmers Market
Located in Unity Park (Columbia Rd. & Euclid St), this farmers market is one of the longest running in the area (for more than 50 years!). It’s open 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. June through December.

USDA Farmers Market
This market is just another one of the many things that makes living in our area unlike anywhere else in the nation. The USDA refers to its market as “the Department’s own ‘living laboratory’ for farmers market operations across the country,” and brings more than 30 farmers, ranchers, and small food businesses to market right outside USDA headquarters. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays, June through October.
