In our youth, we often envision the experience of reaching our later years looking a certain way; however, as we reach those years, we find that—as is often the case in life—there is no one “right” way to do things. This point is exemplified throughout Erickson Senior Living communities.
With nearly 40 years in business and a national network of senior living communities throughout the nation, Erickson Senior Living offers a variety of locations, environments, and living options. The company is continuing to invest in quality senior living with two new communities, The Grandview and Woodleigh Chase, coming to the D.C. metro.
“We’ve been in business a long time—nearly 40 years,” shared George Mishraky, sales director at The Grandview. “The Grandview will become our 23rd property. Consistently, we’ve built an amazing culture for employees and residents in each of our communities throughout the nation.”
While both new communities reside within the greater metro area, each will offer residents a distinct feel and environment within the greater community they possibly already call home.
The Grandview
Located in the heart of Bethesda, Maryland, The Grandview will offer residents the utmost in convenience, cosmopolitan living, and amenities.
As the first Erickson Senior Living vertical living community, The Grandview will feature a unique design and arrangement of amenities, including on-site restaurants, bocce ball courts, a rooftop wine bar, social opportunities, and fitness and wellness facilities, including an indoor pool. The community will house a new urban park.
“We’re dedicated to having great, open relationships with the larger area community,” commented George. “We’re providing a community for seniors, but also to the community at large.”
Being located in Bethesda, The Grandview’s residents will naturally have convenient access to downtown Bethesda and the larger D.C. metro area with the nearby Grosvenor metro station, public transportation, and on-site community transportation options.
Planned for what is currently occupied by Marriott International headquarters, the new construction project will offer an immersive pre-sales experience through the newly opened property-adjacent sales office.
“When potential residents visit, they’ll have a front-seat view to experience the property’s location and neighborhood. We’ll have virtual tours to provide a really high-quality digital experience that showcases how the property will be set up and how the amenities are distinct, even from other Erickson Senior Living properties,” shared George.
Woodleigh Chase
The upcoming Woodleigh Chase community, located at the intersection of Burke Station Rd. and Braddock Rd. in Fairfax, Virginia. Conveniently located close to shopping, dining, and entertainment. Woodleigh Chase residents will also enjoy beautiful living spaces and a host of on-site amenities and activities.
With move-ins planned for fall 2023, Woodleigh Chase will have 262 residences all with beautiful screened-in outdoor spaces, multiple on-site dining options, fitness facilities, including a pool, a full social and activities calendar, and convenient residents-only transportation options.
“Erickson has done a great job of placing its different communities. It’s really all about where future residents want to be. Folks looking at our properties have choices. And regardless of which Erickson Senior Living community you walk into, you’ll have the same amazing culture and services. It’s really a question of where you prefer to live,” shared David Taylor, director of sales for Woodleigh Chase.
As a whole, Erickson Senior Living community living spaces are modern, well planned, and beautiful. Standard features include spacious apartment homes, quartz countertops, crown molding, and soft-close cabinetry to create enjoyable homes for each resident.
Both communities are built to offer residents their choice of environment, a comfortable, enjoyable space to enjoy a vibrant retirement, and freedom to live how they choose.
“The most attractive thing in my eyes and the residents’ is the culture. We embrace diversity and inclusion, and we listen to our residents to really create a lifestyle that enables them to age in place in their home. Our residents enjoy their years here, knowing they’ll be safe, financially stable, and that all they really need to worry about is how to manage their calendars with so many fun, engaging options. People at all our communities are friendly and want to be involved, volunteer, and make the community better. It’s a really different culture. You feel it when you walk in,” shared George.
