Woodbridge, Virginia is one of the coolest little towns we’ve covered in this series on home builders in the metro D.C. area. The highlight is definitely the water access. Woodbridge sits at the junction between the Occoquan and Potomac Rivers and the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge takes up most of the western portion of town, so you can imagine the spectacular views and abundant options for outdoor recreation.
But even with all this serenity, all the usual creature comforts are extremely convenient. With plenty of shopping nearby, access to I95, and many commuter options, Woodbridge is a great place to feel disconnected while staying connected.
Today we’ll be covering Potomac Shores, a large community with several different divisions that need individual attention. If you’ve read our other articles, you may remember we’ve written about this neighborhood before, but we’d like to take a deeper dive into the individual sections inside this community.
Potomac Shores Villas
Potomac Shores Villas or “garden homes” are the first step up from the townhomes inside Potomac Shores. For the sake of time, we won’t be covering the townhomes in this article, but if you’re in the neighborhood, you should definitely check them out too. Villas are attached homes, and Ryan Homes is currently offering the Griffin Hall model in this section. We promise you won’t be disappointed with the level of finished and the number of upgrades available in this model. These do not feel like attached homes—as you walk in, you’re greeted by an expansive foyer that leads to a well-appointed kitchen and great room. Each of these homes also features a two-car garage.
Potomac Shores Single-Family Homes
If the Villas don’t have quite enough space for you, head over to the Potomac Shores Single-Family Homes section of the neighborhood. Here you’ll find three models offered by Ryan Homes: Venice, Milan, and Rome. These gorgeous floor plans each feature 4+ bedrooms and 2+ bathrooms and range in sizes up to nearly 4,000 square feet. Once again, the finishes and add-ons are quite extraordinary in this section of homes.
Potomac Shores Estates
As impressed as you may have been with the space available in Potomac Shores Villas and Single-Family Homes, wait until you see the Potomac Shores Estates. This section also has three models to choose from: Corsica at Potomac Shores, Berkeley at Potomac Shores, and Normandy at Potomac Shores. Not only are these extremely spacious homes, but they’re located directly on the beautiful neighborhood golf course. Each of the models comes with a three-car garage, making it a true estate home. Potomac Shores should be at the top of your list if you’re considering a new home purchase in the metro D.C. area. And if you’re not sold yet, maybe you should know this is the only community in the metro area with direct access to the water. Go check it out!
