We’ll be kicking off our three-part series on Anne Arundel County with Severn, Maryland. The moderately sized city of Severn is located just about halfway between D.C. and Baltimore, making it a great location for families who have a business in both cities or who just wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Here in Severn, you’ll find the median home price is quite affordable compared to surrounding areas and the quality of new construction homes rivals any other community nearby. For the purpose of this article, we’ll be covering Arundel Forest, a master-planned community by Toll Brothers. This single community has so many sections and housing options, we consider it the best neighborhood in Anne Arundel County in terms of new construction.
Arundel Forest overview
Of the master-planned communities we’ve covered, Arundel Forest stands out as unique with its large, open green spaces and wide array of outdoor and indoor activities for the whole family.
The Baltimore-Washington International (BWI) Trail is just a few minutes down the road, but you don’t even have to leave the neighborhood to get a taste of nature. The interwoven paths and sidewalks leading through the community were thoughtfully placed to give homeowners an opportunity to get outside and unwind when the workday is over. The Toll Brothers homes sold here blend easily against the natural backdrop of this quaint community.
The Villas
There are currently just two areas left to purchase homes in Arundel Forest. The first is a townhome section called The Villas. Though selling quickly, there are still units available for purchase as of the writing of this article. The Vassar model boasts all the modern finishes and fixtures you expect from Toll Brothers. These large townhomes are over 2,300 square feet and feature a two-story foyer and hallway.
The Glen
If you’re in the market for a single-family detached home, Arundel Forest has just what you’re looking for in The Glen. In this section of the neighborhood, buyers can choose from six unique floor plans that go all the way up to 5,000 square feet of living space. These charming brick-front homes offer plenty of space for the entire family to enjoy their privacy when needed and come together for movie nights too. This small portion of the neighborhood features multiple cul-de-sacs, creating safe environments for neighborhood kids to gather and play on nights, weekends, and during the summer. If you have an opportunity to get out to Severn, Maryland sometime soon, make sure to check out Arundel Forest. As we said before, new construction homes are still available as of the date of this article, but it’s unlikely they’ll last much longer.
