We love it that many of our new home builders are giving back to their local communities. One particular builder, Van Metre Companies, has been a great supporter of local community outreach in the Washington DC region.
On March 23, 2013, over $130,000 was raised at the 21st Annual Van Metre 5 Mile Run to benefit Children’s National Medical Center. Hundreds of participants took part in this event. In total, over 2.5 million dollars has been raised for this non-profit institution.
In 2012, Van Metre Companies was the winner of the National Association of Home Builders Hearthstone Award for Philanthropic Builder of the Year. Learn more about Van Metre’s community outreach efforts.
