Howard County, Maryland is a fantastic place to visit and an even better place for new construction home hunting. If you’re from the Baltimore metro area you already know just how nice Howard County is. With loads of outdoor destinations, activity centers for the kids, and endless dining options, Howard County has everything to offer both residents and visitors.
For this article we’ll visit three new construction communities in Howard County we think best exemplifies the level of home and neighborhood available to home buyers.
Bethany Ridge
This NVHomes community probably offers the best value for luxury new construction homes in Ellicott City. Homesites are very limited, but each feature at least half-acre lots, and home plans can be up to 6,500 square feet.
One of the best things about this community is how unique the floor plans are. The models each have a specific look that adds a layer of charm to the community. Choose from one of the four-floor plans: Bridgewater, Longwood, Marymount, and Stratford Hall. As its name implies, Stratford Hall is the largest and most customizable of the floor plans.
Belvedere Estates
Next on our tour of Howard County is another NVHomes luxury new construction community just down the road in West Friendship. Belvedere Estates offers very similar home options to Bethany Ridge, except the lots and floor plans are a bit larger in this neighborhood. Belvedere Estates home sites are closer to one full acre and some homes are available with up to 7,500 square feet of living space. The floor plans in the neighborhood are the same as those in Bethany Ridge, with some minor adjustments in the design.
Toll Brothers at Turf Valley
We think we’ve saved the best for last with this community. Toll Brothers always designs a great product for home buyers, and this existing master-planned community has so much to offer residents there’s almost no need to ever leave home.
As you might have guessed from the name, Turf Valley is a 1,000-acre golf course and resort, and the amenities in the neighborhood reflect this fact. Toll Brothers is currently building townhomes and single-family detached homes in the Caperton Village section of this community. The townhomes are available in two different floor plans; Stonebridge and Stonemont. Stonemont is the end unit and as such is the more expensive of the two. The single-family detached homes are available in four distinctly charming craftsman-style floor plans; Finnell, Woodbridge, Rockledge, and Garner. We can’t say enough good things about these homes or this community. Go check it out while you still can. Homes in all three of these communities are selling very quickly. As we mentioned at the beginning of this article, Howard County is a great place to live. It shows in just how high the demand is for new construction homes.
